As far as I know, Albert Einstein wasn’t a businessman….
But his scientific brain gets right to the heart of why many businesses with potential plod on making a modest but unspectacular living, when he famously said: “Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting to get different results.”
If you want to improve your profits you must be prepared to change the way you do things. You need to take an objective look at your business and identify its shortcomings; then decide what changes will address those; and finally work out what actions you need to put in place to make those changes.
Almost certainly this means you will have to step out of your comfort zone, and try things that don’t necessarily come naturally to you.
So in order to improve your profits you must want to change – and then be prepared to take action to achieve that. So I’ve suggested an Action Point at the end of each section of my book “Profits Up, Taxes Down” just to get you started.
