The James Magee Calendar Diary

Our calendar diary is a free utility that you can download to your computer. Just click on the link below and the diary will be up and running on your computer in no time at all.

There are no restrictions on its use - you can make as many copies as you like and run the program on as many of your computers as you want to. You can freely distribute it to other people.

Installation Instructions:

You will be asked whether you want to save the program or run it. It is probably easier to choose "run" as you don't really need the setup file on your computer (unless you want to make copies of it and give it to other people, in which case you should choose "save"). Just follow the instructions after that - if you are not sure what they mean, just accept the defaults as these cover the vast majority of cases.

Using the diary:

To enter information for a particular date, just type the information into the box below the calendar. The font colour will change to grey to indicate that you haven't yet saved your entry. To save it, click anywhere on the diary (the cursor will change to a small hand) and the text will change to black to let you know it has been saved.

To erase a part or all of an entry, just highlight the text you want to remove, delete it and click (the cursor will change to a small hand) anywhere on the diary.

To copy or paste text, just follow the normal Windows convention of right-clicking on the text you want to copy or the place you want to paste text into. Remember to save any edits by clicking anywhere on the diary. If the text in the box is grey, you haven't saved it yet.

To view all the entries for a particular week, click on the picture of the month which will disappear, revealing the full week. The entry for the active date will be in red. Note that this window is provided for viewing the whole week and cannot be edited. All edits and new entries are made in the box below the calendar. To hide the weekly view, just click (the cursor will change to a small hand) on any of the week's entries and the picture will re-appear.

The diary window can be maximised, minimised or resized and the inner bars can be dragged to resize the picture or the weekly entries.

ENJOY!
